Paleo Gluten Free Banana Bread

paleo gluten free banana bread
The weather is starting to cool down, kids are back at school and autumn is just around the corner. When I think about autumn, I imagine the yellow and orange vineyards of the Languedoc-Roussillon. I also picture a cosy sofa, a book and a warm cup of tea. Autumn is a beautiful season.
The special thing about this Paleo Gluten Free Banana Bread is that it is the wheat flour is replaced by almond meal making it suitable for coeliac people. The almond flour changes the texture of the bread because almond flour is quite moist in comparison to traditional wheat flour. This spiced banana bread makes a great lunch box snack: almond flour is high in protein, low in carbohydrates and a high source of protein. I hope you enjoy this Paleo Spiced Banana Bread with Almond Flour (Gluten-Free) as much as I did!

Hi there Cyndie, just wanted to say that I love the look of this recipe.. and to let you know the similar one I have over on my Sydney blog tends to get the most hits each month.

I just made one on Friday and my hubby is enjoying it a lot. I try not to eat too much as it’s so calorie rich, but also so nutrient dense.

    here’s to healthy cakes!

I was a little nervous about trying this one since there were no reviews, but it turned out delicious! Baked at 340F for about 45 minutes. Followed the recipe (with butter), however I didn’t have walnuts or pecans, so I used sliced almonds instead, and added a pinch of nutmeg and allspice to the dry ingredients. I also chopped raw almonds with cinnamon for a crust. I must add that my loaf tasted bland right out of the oven, but letting it sit overnight brought the flavors back. All in all this is a very good paleo/primal recipe, don’t let the lack of reviews deter you! Thanks for sharing :)

I just made this, as I was looking for a healthy use for my browning bananas. It turned out WONDERFUL! I used honey and the coconut oil. Moist, delicious, and sometimes when you use full almond flour, it can be a bit dry…not the case. Thank you! I used a mini-loaf pan, which provided for 8 mini-loaves.

    Thanks for sharing!
