In my quest for high quality yoghurt in Australia, I've encountered some brands that are worth being talked about. So here I am! I started a blog series a few weeks ago to share with you information about my favourite Aussie yogurts!
If you have missed the previous blog entries for this series, you can catch up here:
What's five:am?
five:am is a new range of organic yoghurt free from all the usual nasties like preservatives, additives and gelatine. Instead, five:am is filled with the goodness of far more pronounceable ingredients, like organic fruit and sustainable cane sugar.
As a surfer and long time Yogi, Dave, the founder of five:am, has always appreciated the health benefits of consuming yoghurt as part of an active lifestyle balance.
Why I love five:am yogurts
♥ Certified organic yogurt
♥ Free from gluten, gelatine, preservatives and starches and has no artificial colours, flavours, stabilisers or sweeteners, unlike most processed yoghurts
♥ Support sustainable and organic farming practices
♥ Milk is sourced from Australian family run farms through the Organic Dairy Farmers Cooperative in Gippsland, Victoria
♥ Comes in 700g tubs (RRP$6.49) that are ideal for cooking (or hungry folks), as well as 170gm tubs (RRP$2.29)
♥ The range of new squeezies are the perfect lunch box snack because they're delicious, free from any nasties and affordable too (RRP$1.59)
♥ Distinctive, playful and modern packaging makes the experience more attractive for children who usually refuse to it yoghurt
♥ five:am is involved with a number of organisations and initiatives such as "Junior Pro Surfing Development Program" and "People Culture Environment"
Mademoiselle Slimalicious' favourite: vanilla bean
♥ Sweet enough to satisfy my sweet tooth but not overpowering
♥ The 170g tub makes it an ideal afternoon snack

Do your children eat yoghurt?
Have you tried this yoghurt before?

Hi there, I have seen this yoghurt at Woollies but haven't tried it yet. The kids would love the squeezy ones and would see them as a huge treat. I do like to eat organic, so these sound good.
ReplyDeleteAll my children like yoghurt and eat many types, I send them in to school for morning teas and lunches and of course put loads in their brekkie smoothies. Yum!
Hi Seana, thanks for stopping by. I tried the five:am coffee bean yesterday...definitely was a treat, for ME! if you like coffee, I highly recommend you try it!
DeleteMy kids eat yoghurt daily, we've even taken to making our own with the EasyiYo, the kids love choosing their own flavours that way.
ReplyDeleteHi Kylie, thank you for leaving a comment. I've never tried EasyiYo but I've heard about it. Might try it soon.
DeleteI'm not a yoghurt eater, but my boys are! And I have finally found 5am at my woolies (in WA) and they love the vanilla one. They often take a squeezie one to school :)
