Exercise of the week: Lovemaking

And everyone knows that losing weight requires eating less and exercising more, right? So, can sex help a woman in regard to both? The answer appears to be yes!


Is 'Sexercise' a Good Workout?

-       Kissing: 68 calories per hour

If the kissing is vigorous and involves some petting, it could be even closer to 90 calories burned in an hour!

-       Getting undressed: 8+ calories total

Even more fascinating, an Italian researcher reportedly found that a man attempting to remove a bra with his mouth burns as many as 80 calories!

-       Massaging: 80+ calories per hour
Giving a good massage can get your heart rate up and kick your body into calorie-burning mode.

-       Making love: 144+ per half hour
The key for high-calorie-burning sex is making it hot and making it last, say experts. And try a position change for a better workout. Experts estimate that women who orgasm during sex burn more calories during lovemaking than those who don’t.


Reasons women loses weight at the start of a new relationship
  • Euphoric high created by a new passionate relationship suppresses emotional eating 
  • Excitement of a new relationship can temporarily speed up your metabolism
  • Busier schedule that leaves little time for eating
  • Motivation to improve your appearance to further attract the one you love

But once the "Honeymoon Period" is over...
... the kilos often quickly return. Couples eventually reach a level of comfort with each other and spend more and more of their time together socialising while eating and drinking. They begin to feel more secure and often “let themselves go.” This is when being part of a couple can negatively influence eating habits, particularly when one partner is less health-conscious than the other. The bad habits of each partner inevitably begin to transfer to the other.

So make sure you keep burning the calories while having "FUN" with your partner!
