Tomorrow I'm starting a Hypoxi program. I've only been introduced to this so-called "revolutionary" form of exercise a few weeks ago.
Upon starting your Hypoxi course, the Hypoxi consultant takes your measurements (which will be reviewed after session #6 and #12. Then you cycle for 30 min while keeping your heart rate at your ideal fat burning rate (it's apparently 130 for me, but it depends on your age and weight). No carbs or other forms of exercise are allowed until the next morning to guaranty the best results.
S120 - Ideal to treat problem areas:
Lower Stomach, Hips, Buttocks and Thighs
What is Hypoxi?
According to HYPOXI website, it is the most effective targeted fat loss and cellulite reduction treatment to come on the market in recent years.
Hypoxi seems to be ideal for:
• Fit people looking to target those last stubborn kilos
• Active recovery – from training sessions, race or game meets
• Men wanting to shed body fat from the thighs and bottom
• Women with cellulite or localised fat deposits
• Women and men who suffer from fluid retention
• People looking for an alternative low impact exercise that gets results
How does it work?
It applies a unique combination of negative and positive pressure designed to specifically target fat and cellulite around the hips, buttocks and thighs.
It combines the positive effects of three forms of therapy in one device: exercise, low pressure and high pressure. Whilst gently cycling in an upright position, the negative pressure phase stimulates blood supply to the tissue around the hips, buttocks and thighs where it is enriched with fatty acids. The compression phase then kicks in to accelerate the transport of blood to the muscles being exercised.
How much does it cost?
The recommended course which includes 12 sessions (3x session per week for 4 weeks) costs RRP AU $690. Not cheap right, but if it works it is still cheaper than a liposuction or maybe even a personal trainer for 3 months.
Stay tuned because I'll tell you more about Hypoxi in the coming weeks:
I'll be monitoring and sharing my progress with you.
We'll see if Hypoxi REALLY works!

I am interested to see if this works. Not sure how the high/low pressure bit works, and I am a bit of a sceptic, seeing as i love the good old fashioned blood, sweat & tears.
ReplyDeleteI would be interested in an update on this - how did it go?
