I've discovered Zumba a few months ago when I joined the gym (for the first time of my life). I wasn‘t very keen on attending group classes to start with.
I'm not very coordinated nor a good dancer, but my (older & larger) work colleagues kept encouraging me, and finally convinced me that Zumba is not about performing a dance choreography, it's all about having FUN and burning calories by MOVING!

Why I love Zumba?
I attend Zumba classes two to four times a week. It has became an integral part of my exercise routine in order to reach my weight loss & weight management goals.
The class lasts for about 45-50 min. I've had many different qualified Zumba instructors so far and most of them are real fun, making the class very enjoyable! Their dynamism and enthusiast is contagious!
Mainly women attend my Zumba classes, but we have a few men attending too. Age range would be 16-65. With Zumba, there is no judgment, it's not a competitive atmosphere.
I go to Zumba:
1) To burn calories
2) And have fun!
How many calories will I burn?
You can burn 500 – 1000 calories per hour (depending on your weight and level of intensity)
